What is the sensitivity/specificity of the Abbott ID Now Test?
While Abbott is continuing to collect more clinical data in the field, an interim analysis of a study among urgent care clinics indicates that:
“ID NOW has ≥94.7% positive agreement (sensitivity) and ≥98.6% negative agreement (specificity) when compared to two different lab-based PCR reference tests. These results, while early, strongly suggest ID NOW performs best when patients are tested soon after experiencing symptoms.“
